Group Lists
Rainmail Intranet Server allows you to create group lists. You can group several different users into logical groupings for purposes of mailing lists, system groups, proxy groups and email. A grouplist should be given a unique name. You can group employees based on their position and Internet requirements. Group lists can be converted to mailing lists.
Group lists can be added using the Rainmail configuration program. To create lists, bring up the configuration program and select "Add Group lists" from the left hand side panel. This will bring up the following screen:

As an example, if you want to create a group list for the technical team, in the List name edit box enter the group list name, (in this case) "Tech". This will create a group list Tech@cariz.com. In the list real name edit box expand the group list name as "Technical". Click "Add" to create the mail address tech@cariz.com group list. Successful completion is indicated by a dialog " group list has been added successfully". You can create as many group list as required ,for example admin@yourdomain.com, marketing@yourdomain.com and accounts@yourdomain.com.
To add users to the group list , select the group list to which you want to add users. Select the users to add from the "Users List" box. To add users who are not local, you can add their email address to "External Address" edit box. Press the "Transfer >>" button. This will add all the selected users to the "Existing Users" list box. Once you have entered all the required users this way, press the "Set" button.

This action will add specified users to the selected group list.
13.4 Delete user from Group list
To remove users from group list, select the group list from which you want to delete user in "Group Name" combo box. Select the users to delete from the "Existing User List" box. Once you have selected all the required users this way, press the "Delete" button.

To delete a group list, select the group list to delete from "Group Name" combo box, and Press "Delete". This action deletes the selected group list.

Successful completion is indicated by a dialog.
